I was glad when the Pinakotek der Moderne in Munich won the bidding war for the life casting of the breasts of Tym Roders (shirted, here), over Sèvres in France, who had already cast Marie Antoinette for a pair of Champagne coupes in porcelain. We envision the mounting of this heroic cuirass over one of the Museum's great portals, to welcome throngs of schoolchildren to priceless galleries of sculptural refuge and rescue from hideous ecclesiastical trauma.
