Deployed.

It's a fact, not an opinion, that we reach a "defining"
point in life: a point at which we either possess the honesty,
self-respect, courage and concern for the community in which
we live to stand up for and demand truth, fairness, and
genuine respect -- or we don't possess those things.
That fact has consequences for our lives.
It all starts with character and
the behavior that results from it:
with who we really are.

  1. Off-the-subject-sort-of-dimly but maybe sort of not. This face is the spitting image of Jonathan Littell, author of "The Kindly Ones" (Les Bienveillantes), 2006, winner of the Prix Goncourt and just about everything else France has to offer. The book, as I'm probably the last one here to discover, is possibly the ultimate first-person narrative from inside the mind of history's ultimate bad cop. Just released in paper by Harper (who paid a fortune for it), it is the most revolting read of one's life, but so brilliant and importantly well written that you feel you simply have to finish it, just to be sure the bastard is dead. Which of course, he isn't.
