Apart from his -- c'mon, guys, thinkaboudit -- absolutely risible aquamarine panties, Mr Tucker credibly wears the expression common to all of us, the morning we learned Bonnie & Clyde and been taken down. Say what you will, it is not common for the blue-eyed strain of this complexion to participate so persuasively in the experiences of humanity, compared -- as has so often been observed -- with its brown, gray, and hazel-eyed variants.

    Nor is this unimportant (as we hardly need to be told) in the bumpy little road of human history. For Mr Tucker to be able to master this trick, I should think he might be summoned instantly to the White House, to guide its present tenant in the simulation of human feeling and the cognition of human need, untidy as these irrelevancies may be.
